Another quarter-finals will meet England vs France at Auckland on October 8th, 2011. England became winner of Pool B while France became runner-up of Pool A. Both sides played an attractive match in Pool Stage.

Joined in Pool B, England won over Argentina, Romania and Scotland. While France joined in Pool A They won over Japan, Canada and lost to New Zealand.

England came through their pool stage unscathed, at least in terms of results. They have played poorly, have coughed and spluttered their way to victories over Argentina and Scotland. While France, Qualified in second place from Pool A behind New Zealand, as was expected. The French lost against New Zealand and then had a scare in their final match, going down to Tonga 19-14.

England ran out 17-9 winners against the French in the Six nations this year. England are in good form against the French, winning four of the last five matches, their only defeat a 12-10 loss in Paris in March of 2010.
