Actually Pakistan has offered to host Sri Lanka at home but it was rejected. It was because problem of security in Pakistan after a military base in Karachi was attacked in May this year. So this series will be held at UAE on 20 October 2011 – 30 November 2011.
The rivalry between the Asian giants, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, has always ensured that the cricketing fraternity, along with the spectators and audience throughout the globe are exposed to enthralling and captivating cricketing action.
Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play three Tests — one each in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah — while three ODIs will go ahead in Dubai and one each in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
UAE will host this bilateral series, beginning on October 18, 2011. In Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2011 bilateral series, first Test match would be between Pakistan-Sri Lanka on Oct 18, 2011 at 10:00 local time to be played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
