The mid week fixtures in Italian Serie A end with a match that sees AS Roma host newly promoted AC Siena at the Stadio Olimpico. Roma were held to a goalless draw at Inter Milan last weekend having previously fallen 2-1 to Cagliari in their league opener.
The Giallorossi looked to have come out in their now typical 4-3-3 under coach Luis Enrique, but as the match played out it turned more into a 3-4-3 with midfielder Daniele De Rossi dropping back as a “sweeper”, newly signed defender Simon Kjaer moving to the right fullback position and pushing midfielders Rodrigo Taddei and Simone Perrotta from wingback positions into more traditional midfield roles.
Siena come into this match off a 1-0 loss to Juventus and are still looking for their first victory after drawing Catania 0-0 in the season opener. This is one of the newly promoted sides this season and is under new management, as Giuseppe Sannino takes over from Antonio Conte who signed on to coach Juventus.
Roma vs Siena will become a great and interesting match, so don't miss it.
